I woke to a beautiful but very hot and humid Wednesday morning in September and got ready to meet the Shanghai Exposed Photography Group for it's monthly photo adventure. We were to meet in the 'old town' of Shanghai and wander the market and take photos. I have been debating when I was going to re-introduce the fanny pack to friends and family - you see it's my intention to single handedly bring back the oh so fashionable fanny pack. The fact of the matter is my neck hurts and I am already carrying around a heavy camera so the fanny pack seems like a good solution. I mentioned my intention to bring back the fanny pack to a friend of mine and she whispered to me that she loves a fanny pack and she has one designed by Stella McCartney the famous fashion designer and the daughter of Paul McCartney! I was and am jealous! Pictured below a stunning photo of me in my fanny pack!
Fabulous - yes?
Enough about the fanny pack - here are some fun pictures of the morning.

Great old house in the neighborhood. Love the red star on the gate and the addition built into the upstairs balcony.
I love the drum in the middle left of picture - is it the doorbell?
But the best part of the morning walk is ending up here at what I believe to the best shi yu bing or baked bbq pork buns in Shanghai, made fresh hourly until they close/ run out and/or are tired of making them. Cost 50 cents, USD$.
My new favorite snack shop.
A fantastic morning of picture taking and enjoying the vibrant sights and sounds of old Shanghai.
Don't stop taking photos Liz! Can't wait to see Brazil through your eyes xxx
